SITE RULES
I. RESPECT IS IMPORTANT.
Respect your fellow members and more importantly your staff. Disagreeing with a staffer's decision over a ruling they make in a thread or a character is one thing and such decision is encouraged through PMs. Arguing for the sake of arguing, however, is not. Also remember that at the end of the day their decision is the final one.
II. BE AWARE OF PROBOARDS TOS.
As this site is hosted on Proboards please make sure you are aware of their ToS before posting. While we're a bit more generous with maturity level please no graphic sex scenes, graphic scenes of violence and torture, or detailed descriptions of drug use.
III. REGISTER YOUR OOC ACCOUNT FIRST.
The first account you make should be your OOC account. This will be the account you do your plotting with, and the account that you make purchases for characters with.
IV. REGISTER YOUR CHARACTER ACCOUNTS WITH THEIR FIRST NAME.
Character accounts must be registered under the character's first name. This is just to make tagging easier for everyone on the site. If you fail to do this, staff may ask you to reregister your character's account.
V. BE LITERATE.
This site does not have a word count but we are a literate roleplay site. One liners, text speak, and script style are not allowed. Likewise, all posts must be done in third person.
VI. ORIGINAL CHARACTERS.
For original characters there is no set activity level. However, if no post is made with a character for one month their application will be archived, as will any threads they participated in, and they may lose their faceclaim. If you application has been archived please contact a staff member to pull it out of the archives. If another character has claimed their faceclaim though then a new one will need to be chosen.
VII. CANON CHARACTERS.
For canon characters, we do expect their player to be around 3-4 days during the week and to make at least 3-4 posts. More is encouraged and canon players that continuously barely make the minimum requirements may have their canon revoked.
VIII. BE AWARE THAT YOUR CHARACTER IS MORTAL.
Characters can die at any time. Not that this means that people will be dying left and right, but if your character is acting recklessly and following a course of action that will lead to their deaths, there is the possibility of them dying. However, players cannot kill other players without staff permission.
THREAD RULES
I. NO THREAD LIMIT.
A character may be in as many threads as you would like or can keep up with. The only acception would be mission threads - please refer to the mission thread rules for more details.
II. NPCS ARE ALLOWED.
Players may NPC monsters and the like in threads. Keep in mind though that nothing can be gained from a thread without staff approval. You may slaughter as many octoroks as you like but there would be no reward for doing so.
III. LIQUID TIME.
Because players are allowed to be in multiple threads the chronological order of threads can be rather confusing. Liquid time is allowed and, currently, we don't need any exact dates as for when any one thread happened. Make sure your time frame works with all threaders involved though.
IV. STAFF ARE HERE TO HELP.
Please don't hesitate to contact staff if you have any questions or concerns about the content of a thread you're currently in.
CHARACTER RULES
I. AGE LIMITS.
No character under the age of 15 can be in a romantic relationship.
II. TALK TO STAFF BEFORE APPING A CANON.
Just like it says, please speak with a staff member before attempting to app a canon. Additionally, please do not assume that all canons are available for taking. Ask us to make sure they can be played on the site.
III. NO SAMPLE POST.
There is no sample post requirement for original characters or for canons.
IV. ONLY ANIMANGA FACECLAIMS.
All Faceclaims must be animanga style. No original art, no real life face claims, no exceptions.
CBOX RULES
I. THE CBOX IS FOR MEMBERS ONLY.
While we understand that talking with members of a site can help influence the decision to join, please do not simply hang about in the cbox without joining. After three days you will be asked to leave.
II. DON'T BE A DEBBY DOWNER.
Talk is designed to be more light hearted and cheerful there. We understand that everyone has bad times and that no one is going to feel good all the time, but please do not drop into the cbox simply to complain about something. Staff invites you to go here instead and to keep the negativity out of the site until you feel better.
III. NO ANIMATED AVATARS.
Animated avatars are not allowed. No exceptions.
IV. DON'T USE OTHER PEOPLE'S FC'S.
Usage of another player's FC for a cbox avatar is not permitted, nor it attempting to impersonate another member.
