[PTab=Twili]
[PTab=Keaton]
The most plentiful race. Humans are highly similar to Hylians, though the difference between the two can easily be seen in the shape of their ears. Humans come in a variety of shapes, sizes, hair, eye, and skin color. During the reign of Ganondorf their kind has neither suffered nor flourished; they still are subservient to the Royal family, though the Royal family is now of Gerudo descent instead of Hylian.
Humans are well balanced between both their physical stamina and their magical talents.
Starting Magic: 100 Mana
Element: Humans have no innate Elemental weakness nor strengths. They cannot use Spirit-type spells however.

[PTab=Hylians]
Hylians are a race of human-like people who had once been prominent in Hyrule. They are nearly identical to humans save for their ears - Hylians are pointed 'so that they can hear their Goddesses.' Like Humans, Hylians come in a variety of shapes and sizes with a multitude of varying hair, eye, and skin colors. Unlike humans, however, Hylians have suffered greatly under the rule of Ganondorf. They live in hiding now for fear of being found out, something that would result in almost assured death at the hands of the Gerudo Royal Guards.
Starting Magic: 120 Mana
Element: Hylians are weak to and receive double-damage from Shadow-based spells. As such, they also cannot use such spells. They also cannot use any Spirit-based spells.

[PTab=Gerudo]
The primary inhabitants of Hyrule and the current ruling class. Distinguishing physical traits of Gerudo typically include bronzed skin, scarlet hair, aquiline noses, gold eyes and, unlike the Hylia, round ears. Apart from a single male born to the Gerudo every hundred years, the race consists entirely of women.
Starting Magic: 100 Mana
Element: The Gerudos have no weakness to any element. However, they can only use Spirit-type magic. They are the only races that can make use of Spirit Magic, however.

[PTab=Gorons]
A race of large rock-like creatures. Generally they are larger than Humans or Hylians in stature and are rather bulky; when curled up they are often mistaken for boulders. Gorons are intensely physical fighters and have only a minor inclination toward any magical abilities.
Gorons have suffered under Ganondorf's rule. Death Mountain was attacked by the Gerudo army and many Gorons were enslaved with those who escaped hiding deep within the mountain. In order to survive they have evolved a special form of magic to use to change their appearance. When in their more humanoid appearance the Gorons appear to be tall and muscular with either red, brown, or black hair. The spell prevents the use of their immense strength or any other magic; they must revert back to their natural form to use either.
Starting Magic: 50 Mana
Element: Gorons are weak to water/ice and wind spells. The only magic they can use is either Fire or Earth based.

[PTab=Zoras]
A race of piscine humanoids. Most Zoras do not wear clothing, and they are generally covered in silver scales, which give them a pale blue sheen from a distance. They generally are fairly tall and lithe in their physical appearance. It is rumored that a tribe still lives in the depths of Lake Hylia, and a small tribe lives in the ocean and caves surrounding Koholint island.
Much like Gorons, Zoras were hunted out when Ganondorf started his reign. Those who escaped learned to disguise their appearance, appearing as tall, lithe, pale-skinned humans with blue or blond hair. In order to use any of their strength or magic though they must revert to their natural form.
Starting Magic: 80 Mana
Element: Zoras are weak to fire magic. The only magic they have access to is water/ice magic and light/healing magic.

[PTab=Fairies]
A magical and benevolent race. Fairies appear as small, winged humanoids, who are often obscured by emitted light. They live in pools of sacred water. Because of their healing properties, fairies were once hunted to near extinction and are now extremely scarce.
When fairies take on their humanoid appearance they are generally short, often around three feet tall. Though they are tiny they are not children and can still take on the appearance of petite adults. Their appearance also depends on where they hail from. Fairies from the forest generally have blond or brown hair while those from lakes would have blue hair.
Kokiris are an example of forest fairies.
Starting Magic: 150 Mana
Element: Fairies have no elemental weaknesses but receive double damage from physical attacks. They can make use of any magic type except for Spirit.

[PTab=Rito]
The Rito are a race of winged-humanoids that lives in the canyons of Hyrule. Like all other non-humans they have been forced into hiding after the Gerudos took over. There has not been a confirmed sighting of them in close to fifty years.
They have developed magic to mask their appearance, though while in their human 'form' they would lack the ability to fly. In their humans form they appear of average height with white or silver hair.
Starting Magic: 110 Mana
Element: They can use Wind/Time and Forest magic. They receive double-damage from Fire element attacks.

RESTRICTED RACES
[PTabbedContent][PTab=About]
A player must meet several requirements in order to be allowed to app a restricted race.
1 - Be an active member of the site for a month or longer. Active implies being easily reachable, participating in conversations in the cbox, and posting roughly 3-4 times a week.
2 - Be a pleasant and helpful site member. Staff sees no reason to reward difficult and argumentative members with rare races.
3 - Have at least 25 posts with an already accepted character.
Players may only have 1 restricted race character per every 5 characters they play.

A rare and mysterious race that has all but vanished. Once, long ago, the Sheikah committed a great act of betrayal against the Hylian Royal Family and, in repayment, they vowed to serve the Royal Family. When Ganondorf took control of the land they vanished, most likely both to protect the princess and to prevent Ganondorf from wiping them out.
All Sheikah have red eyes and pale hair colors - white, silver, blond - are the most common.
Starting Magic: 120 Mana
Element: The Sheikah are weak to the influences of Spirit Magic. They can use all other spell types though they excel in Shadow Magic. All Sheikah have an innate ability to commune with the dead.

[PTab=Twili]
The Twili are a race of beings that exist in a world connected to Hyrule - the Twilight Realm. For centuries they have lived there peacefully, having no interest in the Realm of Light and its 'petty wars', though they have begun to stir with news of the return of the bearers of the Triforce.
Twili appear as tall and lithe humanoids with skin that is either black, grey, or green. Vivid green symbols appear across their skin. Their eyes tend to match their hair, which is generally a vivid color.
Starting Magic: 100 Mana
Element: Twili are weak to light - they cannot exist outside in it and when outside of the Realm of Twilight they must hide in the shadows during the day. While they can use all branches of magic except for Spirit Twili are not particularly magically gifted. Instead their main strength comes from being able to manipulate and move objects from afar, as well as being able to teleport to different areas in the world.

[PTab=Keaton]
A race of mysterious 3-tailed foxes with an intense thirst and breadth of knowledge. Keatons are extremely rare and their population cannot exceed more than one per every 25 characters.
Keatons can take on a human appearance, though they often retain some hint of their true fox form even in their human body.
Starting Magic: 150 Mana
Element: Because of their vast range of knowledge Keatons are extremely magically gifted and are the only race to be able to use all branches of magic.
