Milo's life was never easy, but it was also never hard. He and his twin brother, Rolan, were born to a Hylian couple living in hiding in Ordon Village. The two were practically inseparable, and they spent their days playing without a care in the world. They never worried about Gerudos or threats to their lives, though their parents made it clear that they were not to reveal their true race to anyone and they almost always wore hoods or hats that covered their ears.

It was only when the boys turned twelve that their parents sat them down and explained their true heritage to them. Their line was descendant from the great warrior who had once wielded the Triforce of Courage, and one of them would inherit that same Triforce. It was never stated aloud which of them it would be, but they all knew that it should be Rolan. Rolan was the older twin, and he was everything the Bearer of Courage should be; he was brave, just, and steadfast in his ways. Milo, on the other hand, was the opposite; he was constantly getting into trouble, and if the option to run was present, he generally took it.

Yet a few years later, it was Milo who found the mark of the Triforce appearing on his hand. It was Milo who suddenly had an enormous burden forced upon him. And it was Milo who ran away, not wanting to accept that it was him who had been chosen.

Running away worked in his favor, though, as Gerudo forced arrived at his home shortly after he had left. Someone in the town had alerted them to the presence of Hylians in their midst, and Milo's home was burned to the ground and his family slaughtered. Milo had no choice but to continue running at that point, and he hid himself deep in Faron Woods for weeks.

Only once the Gerudo had left did he emerge again. Disgusted by his own cowardice, Milo took up his father's sword and set off, hoping to find some way to redeem himself.

WEAPONS:

• Longsword: Milo carries a remarkably plain longsword that has been passed down through his family. He doesn't know how to use it very well, unfortunately.
• Hatchet: Milo also carries a small axe which he uses both as a weapon and for everyday tasks, such as cutting wood. In battle, Milo throws the hatchet much like a tomohawk.
