With the fall of magic came the rise of technology. During Ganondorf's five hundred year reign, technology has blossomed, growing to encompass "steampunk"-esque technologies. A few examples of technology present in Hyrule are:
[/PTab]- Railroads
- Veteran-era automobiles
- Phonographs
- Late 19th century radios
[PTab=Overview]
Characters are allowed to start with ONE weapon, and the starting weapon MUST make sense to be in the character's possession. Basically, don't give your character a gun if they grew up somewhere that isn't very technologically advanced, and vice versa. Characters may not start with an enchanted weapon of any kind. More weapons can be obtained over the course of the RP, or purchased at the store.
Additionally, any weapon on the site will be classified in one of five categories:

[PTab=Firearms]
A firearm is a portable gun, being a barreled weapon that launches one or more projectiles often defined by the action of an explosive. Firearm technology in Hyrule is currently limited to flintlock and caplock mechanisms, and staff will not accept alternatives. Ammo does not need to be purchased, but please be reasonable in threads when detailing the use of these weapons. Please also take reload time into account when using firearms in threads.
[/PTab][PTab=Ranged]
A ranged weapon is any weapon that can harm targets at distances greater than hand-to-hand distance. This includes thrown weapons - such as javelins, slings, darts - the bow and arrow, and crossbows. Again, ammo does not need to be purchased, but please be reasonable in threads when detailing the use of these weapons.
[/PTab][PTab=Bladed]
A bladed weapon is, as expected, any melee weapon with a sharpened edge used for slicing or stabbing. This includes swords, spears, axes and knives. Please note that bayonets would be considered a bladed weapon, and that any firearm with a bayonet attached would qualify as a hybrid weapon and would be more expensive.
[/PTab][PTab=Blunt]
A blunt weapon is a melee rely mostly on mass and raw impact energy to disable opponents through broken bones, internal trauma or concussions. This includes clubs, hammers, staffs, and maces.
[/PTab][PTab=Other]
Any weapon that does not fall into any of the prior categories will be identified as an "Other" weapon. This includes "tech" weapons or any enchanted weapons. These weapons must be approved by staff, and are generally both rare and expensive.
